1916 - Cecil Sharp published Appalachian mountains folk music.

1922-HECK ROBERTSON
1922 - Eck Robertson cuts the first record of old time tune.

1923-FIDDLER JOHN CARCASS
1923 - Fiddlin' John Carson, the birth of recorded country music.

1924-RILEY BUCKET
1924 - Riley Puckett brings 'yodeling' to country music.

1925-CARL PLAGUE
1925 - Carl Sprague, the first singing cowboy.
